Job summary
Labhouse, a Barcelona-based AI and productivity app startup, seeks an Art Director to define design vision across our app portfolio. You will partner with the CEO and Head of Product to shape standards, processes, and craft at scale.
You will own the design system, lead 0→1 app launches, review final assets, and tie design decisions to activation, retention, and store performance. This is a hands-on leadership role with opportunities to mentor a growing team.
Qualifications
- Strong track record in product, UX/UI or visual design and leading design teams.
- Experience leading consumer mobile apps from scratch to scale with measurable business impact.
- Portfolio showing craft and strategic thinking from concept to shipped products.
- Excellent eye for color, composition, typography and motion.
- Mastery of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite and hands-on capability.
- Deep knowledge of iOS and Android design guidelines and beyond them.
Responsibilities
- Define UI/UX principles and visual language for the portfolio.
- Lead 0→1 launches from concept to launch with user validation.
- Set assets quality: UI, illustrations, icons, motion, store assets.
- Turn onboarding/paywall/store improvements into measurable gains.
- Own portfolio-wide design system for consistency and speed.
- Introduce AI tools into design workflows.
- Build and scale design teams.
