Costa Navarino in Messinia, Greece, seeks a Junior Sommelier to join our wine program. You will assist with wine service, storage, mise en place and guest wine pairings while growing your wine knowledge and helping guests choose wines that enhance their dining experience.

Qualifications

• Wine studies or a recognized qualification preferred.
• Previous restaurant or wine-service experience is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of wine, wine service and food pairing, with a commitment to continuous learning.
• Good command of English.
• Strong guest-service and communication skills, with a guest-focused and service-oriented approach.
• Strong interest in selling and upselling, with the ability to make appropriate wine recommendations.
• Effective teamwork and cross-departmental collaboration skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, with proper wine storage and handling practices.
• Ability to remain composed and effective during busy periods.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts according to operational needs.

• Communicate guest questions and service issues to the Sommelier, Head Sommelier or Restaurant Management.
• Participate in wine tastings and training while following responsible alcohol service, company policies, Brand Standards, SOPs and Health & Safety requirements.

We are looking for a Junior Sommelier to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute, learn and grow while helping shape the experiences and impact we create across Costa Navarino.
