UST is a multinational technology services firm seeking a Junior Functional Analyst to join an international team. The role focuses on gathering requirements, documenting processes, and collaborating with IT to translate business needs into functional specs.

Remote in Spain with a strong English requirement, a proactive attitude, and a collaborative mindset to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Gather and document business requirements under guidance of senior functional analysts.
• Support end-to-end business process documentation.
• Clarify functional requirements with IT teams.
• Prepare functional documentation (BRD, FSD, Process Flows, User Stories).
• Support testing (functional and UAT) and test cases.
• Assist in project tracking, reporting and status updates.
• Collaborate with diverse business and technology stakeholders.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Junior Functional Analyst with strong analytical and communication skills, eager to learn and grow in an international environment. The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of financial products, APIs, REST services, databases, and Agile methodologies , along with a high level of English (B2+) . Previous experience or internships in banking, financial services, or Capital Markets will be highly valued.

Location: 100% Remote only in Spain

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / ROLE

• Gather and document business requirements under the guidance of senior functional analysts.
• Support the definition and documentation of end-to-end business processes.
• Collaborate with IT teams to clarify functional requirements.
• Prepare functional documentation (Business Requirements, Functional Specifications, Process Flows, User Stories).
• Support the definition, preparation and execution of functional and UAT test cases.
• Assist in project tracking, reporting and status updates.
• Work effectively with different business and technology stakeholders.

MANDATORY SKILLS

• Proactive attitude with strong willingness to learn.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of financial products, preferably within Wholesale Banking (knowledge of FX, Fixed Income or Rates is a plus).
• Basic understanding of APIs, REST services and databases is desirable.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in an international environment.
• Language: High level of English (B2).

NICE TO HAVE

• Previous internship or 1–2 years of experience in banking or financial services.
• Exposure to Capital Markets or Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) environments.
• Basic knowledge of derivatives or structured products.
• Experience working with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
