UST España & Latam in Madrid seeks a proactive Software Engineer to join a cross-functional Agile team operating in a DevOps environment. You will craft cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle SQL, while upholding TDD/BDD practices and collaborating with stakeholders across divisions.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Oracle SQL, RESTful APIs, and SOA architectures.
• Strong exposure to DevOps practices and cloud-native environments.

• Design, develop, deploy, release, and monitor software applications.
• Participate in pull request reviews and maintain high-quality coding standards.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Contribute to planning, estimation, and feature refinement activities.
• Partner with Solution Architects to align designs with the architectural vision.
• Build and maintain cloud-native, containerized applications.
• Manage deployments using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
• Engage in knowledge sharing within engineering communities.

Main tasks and accountabilities will be:

Manage deployments using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.

Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.

Participate actively in software engineering communities by sharing knowledge and helping team members.

What do we expect from you?

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Strong hands-on experience with:

• Java
• Spring Boot
• Oracle SQL
• RESTful APIs
• Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)

Solid knowledge of:

• Docker
• GitLab
• Jenkins

Familiarity with:

• OpenAPI
• UML

Understanding of DevOps principles, including:

CI/CD, Automated Testing, Monitoring and Deployment Automation

Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.

Proven experience delivering software using industry best practices.

Strong English communication skills (spoken and written).
