Vertiv in Madrid, Spain is seeking a Junior Field Service Engineer to install, service and repair Vertiv products at customer sites. You will manage spare parts stock, follow environmental guidelines, and collaborate with customers, sales teams and service partners to ensure high standards of service.

The role requires electrical or air conditioning technical background, native local language and good English, plus willingness to travel and work irregular hours as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to service calls professionally while on duty.
• Read, understand, and comply with Field Procedure Manual guidelines.
• Work safely in accordance with company policy and local regulations.
• Keep dispatch informed of schedule and status of open jobs.
• Ensure spare parts are tracked using established procedures.
• Submit timely paperwork and debrief completed jobs at customer premises when applicable.
• Maintain and update customer and installed-base data accurately.
• Report sales or service leads to the proper department.
• Pursue technical leads and service business opportunities.
• Serve as a reference point for key customers during emergencies or troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with supervisor on daily operational duties.
• Be available for weekend and night coverage as required.

Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Field Service Engineer to join our team in Madrid, Spain!

As a Junior Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, service, and repair of company products at customer premises. You will maintain strong working relationships with customers, sales teams, distributors, and other stakeholders within your assigned area.

You will manage the assigned spare parts VAN stock, ensuring proper availability and control. All technical interventions must be carried out in full compliance with the environmental guidelines established by Vertiv Spain, as well as any specific requirements applicable at customer facilities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Respond, in a professional manner, to all assigned service calls while on duty
• Read, understand, and comply with all procedures outlined in the Field Procedure Manual
• Perform all work in a safe manner, and in accordance with established company safety policy and local regulations
• Keep dispatching center informed of your schedule and the status of all open jobs
• Ensure spare parts are properly accounted for using established parts procedures
• Submit periodically paperwork in a timely, accurate and complete manner and, in case of Wireless Field Service, debrief the performed job at the Customer's premises
• Maintain the accuracy of the customer and installed base database by reporting errors
• Report and promote sales or service leads to the proper department.
• Actively seek for tech. leads and service business opportunities.
• Being a reference point for key customers in case of emergency and troubleshooting
• Work closely with department supervisor to assist with day to day operational duties
  • Ensure availability to work during week-end and night in compliance with local labor laws
  • Follow and respect, in all its technical interventions, the environmental guidelines established by Vertiv Spain, and those that are specific to the client's facilities where the intervention is carried out
  • To attend to the environmental trainings that are locally required.
  • To know and to comply with the waste producer's requirements established by the current legislation, concerning the handling, transfer and storage of the wastes until their delivery to an authorized waste management company.
  • To know and to comply with the procedures, instructions and action plans established by Vertiv Spain
