Vertiv is seeking an HVAC Commissioning Engineer for a Spain-based role with substantial travel across EMEA. You will be based from home in Spain, spending about one week per month at home and three weeks at customer sites across the region.

You will commission and test HVAC systems on large data centre projects, develop commissioning plans, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. A hands-on, travel-heavy role in a global data centre environment.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning).
• F Gas certification or willingness to obtain on joining.
• Proficiency with testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Able to travel across EMEA and work on-site.

Mansioni

• Conduct commissioning activities for HVAC systems across major data centre projects.

Location: Spain based, travelling role. You'll be based from home in Spain for approximately 1 week in every 4, handling admin, planning, and reporting. The remaining 3 weeks will be spent at customer sites across EMEA, working on large scale data centre builds. International travel will be a core part of this role.

Working Hours: Full time, with flexibility required around project schedules and commissioning deadlines.

We're looking for a skilled HVAC Commissioning Engineer to join our engineering team, working across large scale data centre builds throughout EMEA. This is a hands on, travelling role where you'll be responsible for the commissioning and testing of HVAC systems, making sure everything meets the required specifications and operates efficiently. What Will You Be Working On?

Your day to day work will involve conducting commissioning activities for HVAC systems, including inspections, functional tests, and performance evaluations across major data centre projects. You'll develop and implement commissioning plans and procedures, working closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery. Troubleshooting and resolving HVAC system issues during the commissioning phase will be a key part of the role, along with ensuring all work complies with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

You'll prepare detailed reports documenting test results, commissioning activities, and any issues encountered. You'll also provide training and support to client personnel on the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems, and maintain up to date knowledge of industry standards, technologies, and best practices. This is a physical, hands on role that will see you working across different environments and adapting to changing conditions on site.

What Are We Looking For?

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field


• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning


• F Gas certification, or a willingness to obtain it as soon as you join


• Proficiency in using testing and diagnostic equipment


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Good written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are a bonus)


• Willingness to travel extensively across EMEA, with a working pattern of approximately 3 weeks at customer sites and 1 week at your home location


• Experience from data centres or other critical environments is a strong advantage but not essential
