Vertiv Co is seeking a Junior Field Service Engineer in Madrid, Spain. The role involves installation, service and repair of Vertiv products at customer sites, maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities include managing spare parts stock, adhering to environmental guidelines, and complying with local labor rules regarding after-hours work and travel. English proficiency and a technical background are required for success in this position.

Formación

• High school diploma in Air Conditioning or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Good English language skills.
• Strong technical service background preferred in HVAC or electrical environments.

Responsabilidades

• Perform work safely and in compliance with local regulations and safety policy.
• Keep dispatching center updated on schedule and job status.

• Travel to customer facilities as required; weekends and on-call may be needed.

We are looking for a Junior Field Service Engineer to join our team in Madrid, Spain!

As a Junior Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, service, and repair of company products at customer premises. You will maintain strong working relationships with customers, sales teams, distributors, and other stakeholders within your assigned area.

You will manage the assigned spare parts VAN stock, ensuring proper availability and control. All technical interventions must be carried out in full compliance with the environmental guidelines established by Vertiv Spain, as well as any specific requirements applicable at customer facilities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Respond, in a professional manner, to all assigned service calls while on duty
• Read, understand, and comply with all procedures outlined in the Field Procedure Manual
• Perform all work in a safe manner, and in accordance with established company safety policy and local regulations
• Keep dispatching center informed of your schedule and the status of all open jobs
• Ensure spare parts are properly accounted for using established parts procedures
• Submit periodically paperwork in a timely, accurate and complete manner and, in case of Wireless Field Service, debrief the performed job at the Customer’s premises
• Maintain the accuracy of the customer and installed base database by reporting errors
• Report and promote sales or service leads to the proper department.
• Actively seek for tech. leads and service business opportunities.
• Being a reference point for key customers in case of emergency and troubleshooting
• Work closely with department supervisor to assist with day to day operational duties
  • Ensure availability to work during week-end and night in compliance with local labor laws
  • Follow and respect, in all its technical interventions, the environmental guidelines established by Vertiv Spain, and those that are specific to the client's facilities where the intervention is carried out
  • To attend to the environmental trainings that are locally required.
  • To know and to comply with the waste producer’s requirements established by the current legislation, concerning the handling, transfer and storage of the wastes until their delivery to an authorized waste management company.
  • To know and to comply with the procedures, instructions and action plans established by Vertiv Spain

Job Requirements

• School Background
  • Air Conditioning or Electrical engineering high school diploma
• Language skills
  • Native in the local language; Good English
• Technical / Functional skills
  • Previous experience in technical service area working in a service or test environment of Air conditioning equipment
  • Computer Literate
  • Well organized and able to work under pressure
  • Very Flexible Work-Hours

Working condition

• A significant amount of after hours and weekend work, frequently scheduled with little notice
• Travel
