Job summary

X-ELIO, a Brookfield-owned global leader in renewable energy, is seeking a Jr. Compliance Analyst to join its Madrid office. You will screen third parties and employees for sanctions and PEP, review contracts, and support due diligence in project transactions.

You will also monitor regulatory controls, maintain data protection records, and assist with audits, training, and internal investigations. Requires 1–3 years in compliance and fluency in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Degree in Law, Business, Economics or similar; CESCOP, WCA or CIPP/E certification is a plus.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in compliance, KYC/AML, third party due diligence or data protection.
• Excellent written and spoken English (C1) and fluent Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Screen third parties and employees against sanctions, PEP, restricted lists and reputational sources.
• Review contracts against standard models and complete the third party risk assessment.
• Handle bank KYC requests and support counterparty due diligence in project sale and acquisition transactions.
• Investigate red flags and prepare reports for decision.
• Maintain the regulatory tracker for all countries and the risk and controls register.
• Execute compliance controls and prepare evidence for audits and authority requests.
• Maintain the record of processing activities and the breach register, and manage DPAs.
• Coordinate compliance training, internal queries, the Compliance Ambassadors program and the newsletter.
