Job summary

The Soler & Palau Ventilation Group Parets del Vallès-based CFD Engineer role focuses on designing and optimizing ventilation products and systems using CFD tools. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in modeling and documentation.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Role Description

This full-time, on-site CFD Engineer role is based in Parets del Vallès (Barcelona) and focuses on the design and optimization of ventilation products and systems using computational fluid dynamics tools. The CFD Engineer will perform simulations to evaluate airflow, pressure distribution, fire-scenario conditons, and will translate results into clear recommendations for product improvement. Daily responsibilities include design of HVAC and fire safety installations, setting up and running CFD models to check performance of the ventilation system, and collaborating with stakeholders involved in building projects. The role also involves preparing technical reports, presenting findings to stakeholders, and contributing to continuous improvement of modeling methodologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge in Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Dynamics, with the ability to apply these principles to ventilation and HVAC-related applications.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of building and ventilation standards and regulations (CTE, RIPCI, RITE...).
• Experience in ventilation, HVAC, or building services engineering is an advantage.
• Knowledge of CAD tools (Autocad).
• Experience with CFD software (e.g., Ansys Fluent, CFX, Star-CCM+, OpenFOAM, Solidworks, FDS) and pre-/post-processing tools.
• Programming skills for problem-solving (Python, C++...).
