Job summary

Cap Ingelec is seeking an HVAC Design Project Manager to join the Madrid design team. You will ensure compliance with mechanical standards and lead HVAC package design studies from requirements definition through handover.

The role requires an engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least five years of experience in building or industrial facilities design. Spanish and English fluency is essential, with occasional travel and BIM collaboration.

Job description

As part of our organizational development and to support our growth aroundmajor industrial building projectsas aGeneral Contractor,we are looking for a HVAC Design Project Manager to join our design team in Madrid.

Reporting to theEngineering Department Manager, you will be ensuring and maintaining compliance with the technical, regulatory and standard requirements for themechanical discipline. Working autonomously from requirements definition through to project handover, you will manage theHVAC package design studies and provide technical support throughout the construction phases.More specifically, your main responsibilities will include:

• Design optimized technical solutions (mechanical sizing/design, preparation of technical specifications and documentation, etc.);
• Supervise the production of drawings and models (plans, diagrams, etc.) in collaboration with the Design & BIM teams;
• Prepare tender documentation, review and critically assess contractors' proposals, and provide technical recommendations;
• Take ownership of the technical decisions related to your discipline;
• Lead technical meetings and support the monitoring of construction works to ensure proper execution on site;
• Participate in commissioning activities and carry out pre-handover inspections.

You hold an Engineering degree with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field and have at least five years of experience in the design of building or industrial facility projects.

You are recognized for your ability to bring operational teams together, possess strong analytical and communication skills, and demonstrate adaptability in a dynamic project environment.

As you may occasionally be involved during the construction phase, you are willing to travel on an occasional basis.

Fluency in both Spanish and English is required, while French would be an asset.
