UST is seeking an ITSO JAVA Specialist to join their Madrid team. As a key team member, you'll work on exciting projects in the banking sector, utilizing your expertise in Core Java and DevOps. Responsibilities include collaborating in an agile environment, managing support activities, and implementing software solutions. Formación

• Experience with Core Java 8+ and JUnit.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design.
• Proficient in web services and relational databases.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD.

Responsabilidades

• Work in a cross-functional team using agile methodologies.
• Design and implement applications as part of a DevOps model.
• Manage L3 Support for day-to-day incidents in the IT environment.
• Lead release activities and ensure proper communication with dependencies.

We are looking for a ITSO JAVA Specialist to join our team and work on exciting projects for one of our clients in the banking sector.

Location: Hybrid in Madrid

Key Responsibilities

• Work together in a cross functional team using agile methodologies as part of a DevOps centric model
• Design, implement, deploy, release and monitor your team's applications, take part in merge request reviews
• Understand business needs by working together with your colleagues from across different divisions
• Take part in planning and feature refinement sessions together with your team
• Together with System Architects design software solutions that are aligned to overall architecture vision
• Actively take part in our Software Engineering communities, sharing your knowledge and helping others
• Deliver high quality code, aligned with guidelines and standards
• Manage L3 Support for the day-to-day incidents/service requests and problems in the IT environment, ensuring all SLAs defined for Production Support are met
• Manage operating model to ensure effort sharing of operational tasks (e.g. monitoring of service availability and performance) with 1st and 2nd Level Support
• Lead the release activities, ensuring proper communication with all upstream and downstream dependencies
• Execute required audits, controls (e.g. access rights), annual risk assessment to identify operational IT risks and manage related risk mitigations and actions. Manage IT Security process (e.g. firewalls) for services
• Support the System Architect in the raising and maintenance of technical and architectural debts

Mandatory Requirements

• Core Java 8+ and JUnit
• Strong computer science knowledge (algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design)
• Basic Linux shell scripting commands
• Java Messaging Concepts (JMS, MQ)
• Relational Database concepts, SQL, joins, index, triggers etc.
• Web Services Rest, SOAP
• Spring core concepts
• Understanding of DevOps concepts such as CI/CD and the importance and value of automated testing
• Experience with enterprise-level application lifecycle - design, deploy, and manage applications using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and related technologies
