UST is seeking a Mid Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applications in a hybrid Madrid setting. The role emphasizes RESTful services integration, system engineering and rigorous testing across the software lifecycle.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work on scalable, high-quality solutions, including messaging platforms and data integrations, with training on the Actico Platform to enable rapid impact.

Formación

• Experience with Java enterprise applications.
• Strong background in building and integrating RESTful services.
• Familiarity with software testing across lifecycle.
• Knowledge of Oracle DB and SQL development.
• Experience with messaging systems (IBM MQ, RabbitMQ).
• Understanding asynchronous patterns and distributed systems.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Mid Java Developer with a strong background in enterprise application development, system integration, and software quality assurance.

Location: Hybrid model in Madrid - Sol area (3 days onsite / 2 days remote).

*Training: Full training on the Actico Platform will be provided

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Develop and integrate RESTful web services and distributed system components.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and support.
• Design, create, and execute functional, integration, acceptance, and mock-up testing.
• Analyse complex technical challenges and propose effective end-to-end solutions aligned with business needs.

What do we need?

• Strong hands-on experience as a Java Developer working on enterprise applications.
• Solid understanding of the Java ecosystem, software engineering best practices, and the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and web services.
• Proficiency with Eclipse IDE for development, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
• Strong experience working with Oracle Database and SQL development.
• Experience with enterprise messaging, queuing, or event-streaming technologies.
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka is highly valued.
• Experience with solutions such as IBM MQ (WebSphere MQ), RabbitMQ, or similar messaging platforms.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous communication patterns, message-driven architectures, and distributed systems integration.
• Proven experience in testing activities, including: Functional Testing, Integration Testing, Acceptance Testing, Mock-up Testing and Ability to independently validate and ensure software quality without dedicated QA support.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Dynamic Application Framework (DAF).
• Experience in Business Rule Management, including modelling, management, and implementation.
• Certifications or training in Visual Rules or Actico Rules.
• Experience integrating solutions with the Actico Platform.
