HN Services España is seeking an IT Project Manager to join an international project based in Madrid. You will oversee cross-squad initiatives, define plans, monitor budgets and ensure governance across SDLC.

Qualificações

• Proven experience as IT Project Manager or Delivery Manager.
• Strong knowledge of PM principles: planning, scope, cost, risk and reporting.
• Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and IT delivery processes.
• Experience with governance frameworks, governance committees, reporting and escalation.
• English level B2 or higher.

What are we looking for?

An IT Project Manager to join an international project, based in Madrid.

Responsabilities:

• Oversee and coordinate projects and initiatives across different squads, ensuring alignment with agreed objectives, priorities and delivery commitments.
• Define, maintain and monitor project plans, milestones, timelines and key deliverables.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts and actual costs, identifying and explaining potential deviations.
• Ensure projects and initiatives follow the required project governance framework, development processes and SDLC stages.
• Monitor the different phases of the delivery lifecycle, from initiation and planning through development, testing, deployment and closure.
• Manage and monitor project scope, assessing the impact of changes on planning, cost, resources and delivery commitments.
• Identify, assess and proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies and blockers, defining mitigation or recovery plans when required.
• Manage cross-squad and cross-project dependencies, anticipating potential impacts on other initiatives.
• Monitor resource capacity and constraints that could impact project execution.
• Ensure appropriate quality and delivery controls throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain clear traceability of key decisions, actions, owners, milestones and deadlines.
• Prepare and maintain project dashboards, KPIs and status reports, providing clear visibility to management and key stakeholders.
• Organize and contribute to project governance meetings and steering committees, ensuring appropriate preparation, reporting, escalation and follow‑up of decisions.
• Coordinate effectively with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Business stakeholders, development teams, architects, testing teams, operations and other relevant contributors.
• Promote continuous improvement, identifying recurring delivery or process issues and supporting squads in improving their ways of working.
• Ensure an appropriate balance between Agile ways of working and corporate governance requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, Delivery Manager or similar role in complex IT environments.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices, including planning, budget management, scope management, risk management and reporting.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and IT delivery processes.
• Experience with project governance frameworks, governance committees, project reporting and escalation processes.
• English level B2 or higher.

Nice to have:

• Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent.
• Agile/Scrum certification such as PSM, CSM or equivalent.
• Experience in banking, financial services or other highly regulated environments.
• Experience with project and Agile management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working in organizations combining Agile delivery models with structured corporate governance frameworks.
• Experience coordinating distributed or international teams.
• French language is a plus.
