Job summary

Drees & Sommer is seeking a license management professional to ensure compliance, optimize usage, and support strategic negotiations across multiple software vendors. You will help shape licensing strategies and drive process improvements in a collaborative team.

The role requires experience with software licensing models and SAM tools, plus strong analytical skills and excellent English. German language skills are a plus, and flexible work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT management, business informatics, or equivalent.
• Solid experience in license management.
• Deep knowledge of licensing models (Microsoft, SAP, Oracle).
• Hands-on experience with licensing agreements and SAM tools.
• Strong analytical mindset and structured work approach.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for maintaining license compliance and the economic use of all software licenses
• Management and monitoring of our license portfolio across different manufacturers
• Participation in contract negotiations and license renewals with strategic vision
• Further development and optimization of license management processes
• Support for software audits as well as cooperation with internal departments and external partners
• Preparation of analyses, reports and risk assessments of license usage and costs

Qualifications

• A degree in business informatics, business administration, IT management or a comparable qualification
• Sound professional experience in the field of license management
• In-depth knowledge of software licensing models (e.g. Microsoft, SAP, Oracle) as well as practical experience in dealing with licensing agreements
• Confident use of Software Asset Management (SAM) tools
• Analytical thinking, structured way of working and a high degree of personal responsibility
• Fluent in English, German is a plus
