Job summary

Beck & Pollitzer is seeking an experienced HR Generalist in Madrid to act as the local HR expert, guiding onboarding, changes and offboarding, and delivering end-to-end care by phone, chat, and ticketing. You will coach local managers, implement HR processes, and handle payroll inputs and recruitment in a multilingual environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree from a recognized university.
• Proven HR generalist experience (typically 5+ years) covering employee relations, payroll inputs and recruitment.
• Experience coaching managers and rolling out HR processes as local contact.
• Fluent English and native or fluent Spanish.
• Knowledge of Spanish labour law, CBAs and social security procedures.
• Familiarity with HR systems and ticketing tools; comfortable using a digital certificate.
• Strong problem-solving, independent decision-making and prioritization.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Integrity, confidentiality and data protection awareness.
• Interest in innovative HR solutions and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Guide employees through onboarding, changes, and offboarding via phone, chat, and ticketing.
• Advise local managers on people decisions and conduct training.
• Establish and embed HR processes (talent acquisition, onboarding, performance, rewards, engagement).
• Prepare payroll inputs and distribute payslips; answer payroll questions.
• Handle recruitment administration and onboarding activities.
• Update collective bargaining agreement (CBA) parameters in payroll records.
• Maintain employee records in HRIS and manage international assignments.
• Coordinate with external parties and group HR on projects.
