Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an HR Consultant / Generalist for Iberia to support the People Partnering team across Spain and Portugal. The role covers employee lifecycle support, payroll, benefits, onboarding and HR data management.

The successful candidate will provide Tier 2 guidance to managers and employees, ensure compliance with local labor laws, and contribute to DEI and HR projects across Iberia. Fluency in English and Spanish is required; Portuguese is a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Support the implementation, administration and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures and people processes across Spain and Portugal, ensuring alignment with company standards and local employment legislation.
  • Provide Tier 2 guidance to managers and employees on HR processes, employee lifecycle matters and local practices, escalating complex or high-risk matters to People Partners, Legal, Reward or other specialist teams as appropriate.
  • Support workforce administration, including employee data accuracy, job changes, promotions, leavers, employment documentation, correspondence with employees and external authorities, and coordination with the HR Shared Services Center.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including local HR induction, documentation, system coordination, local benefits registration and liaison with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth employee experience.
  • Support TA, including review of job descriptions and requisitions,
  • Support early careers processes, including university agreements, internship administration, legal checks and coordination with Talent Acquisition and local stakeholders.
  • Administer and support local benefits, payroll-related processes and compensation activities, including payroll coordination, benefits queries, vendor administration, invoices
  • Support performance management and talent processes, including goal setting follow-up, year-end review tracking, Plans and development planning activities.
  • Support employee relations matters, including attendance, performance, investigations, medical or long-term absence cases, maternity and other leave situations, ensuring appropriate documentation and timely resolution.
  • Coordinate employment changes, severance calculations, settlement documentation and employee exit in collaboration with People Partners, local Legal teams and relevant stakeholders.
  • Tracking of mandatory learning, compliance monitoring, preparation of training documentation and follow-up with employees and managers.
  • Contribute to HR projects across Iberia, including talent management, employee experience, process optimisation, reporting, compliance, DEI, pay transparency, job architecture and People model implementation.

Job Description Summary

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on and detail-oriented HR Consultant / HR Generalist Iberia to support the People Partnering team across Spain and Portugal. The role will provide Tier 2 HR support across the employee lifecycle, combining operational excellence, local HR knowledge and strong employee experience focus. The successful candidate will support managers and employees on people processes, employee relations, recruitment coordination, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, HR data, compliance and local HR projects, contributing to a more integrated Iberia People model

Role Scope:

This role is designed to provide operational and specialist HR support across Iberia, with day-to-day responsibilities linked to both Portugal and Spain. The position will work closely with the People Partner Iberia, local managers, People Services, Talent Acquisition, Reward, Legal, Finance, Payroll providers and other specialist teams to ensure consistent delivery of People processes and an effective employee experience.

Qualifications:

Experience and knowledge of payroll will be highly valued.
