Job summary

ERM is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to provide trusted HR support across Spain and Portugal. Based in Madrid or Barcelona with a flexible hybrid model, you will guide managers on employee relations, employment law, and HR policies, while balancing business risk and employee experience.

The role requires strong knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese employment legislation and the ability to handle a broad range of HR matters in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an HR Advisor/Generalist role.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish employment law; Portuguese knowledge is a plus.
• Experience handling complex employee relations cases.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a regional HR team.
• Fluent Spanish and English; Portuguese would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive HR advice to managers and employees across Spain and Portugal.
• Manage employee relations including performance, conduct, grievances, absence, and investigations.
• Ensure compliance with local employment legislation and company policies.
• Support organisational change initiatives, restructures and consultations.
• Partner with managers to address people-related challenges and leadership needs.
• Advise on HR policies and procedures for fair decision-making.
• Collaborate with regional HR, Legal, and business stakeholders on complex matters.
• Support annual HR processes including performance reviews, compensation cycles, talent planning.
• Monitor legislative developments and advise on business impact.
