Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to provide trusted HR support across Spain and Portugal, based in Madrid or Barcelona with a flexible hybrid model. The role partners with managers, guides on employee relations and employment law, and ensures compliant HR practices across Iberia.

Formación

  • Proven experience in an HR Advisor, HR Generalist, or Employee Relations role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Spanish employment law; knowledge of Portuguese employment law is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations cases and advising managers.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a regional HR team.
  • Fluent Spanish and English required; Portuguese would be an advantage.

  • Support annual HR processes including performance reviews, compensation cycles, talent planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor legislative developments and provide guidance on their impact to the business.

HR Advisor, Iberia (Spain & Portugal)

Sustainability is our business. Make it yours. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to provide trusted HR support across Spain and Portugal. Acting as a key partner to managers and employees, you will provide expert guidance on employee relations, employment law, people policies, and HR best practice, helping to ensure a positive employee experience while managing business and legal risk. This role requires strong knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese employment legislation, the ability to manage a broad range of employee relations matters, and a collaborative approach to supporting business leaders in a dynamic, international environment. The role will be based in either our Madrid or Barcelona office where we have a flexible hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities

Provide proactive HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across Spain and Portugal. Manage employee relations matters including performance, conduct, grievances, absence management, flexible working requests, and workplace investigations. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a regional HR team. Fluent Spanish and English required; Portuguese would be an advantage.
