Iberia Customer Programs Lead - EV Vehicle Delivery

Job summary

BYD Europe is seeking a Customer Program Engineer for Iberia to coordinate customer projects from order to delivery across Sales, R&D, and factories. The role requires traveling to customers overseas and managing multiple stakeholders in Europe and China.

You will participate in design reviews, support tender activities, and ensure smooth delivery through PDI and FAT stages while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience in Electrical/Mechanical or other Engineering for multiple projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical or Other Engineering.
• Knowledge of the automotive industry, preferably commercial vehicle business for electric buses & Trucks.
• Experience in cross-cultural management, client management and conflict management.
• Proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving.
• Strong leadership skills and creative thinking.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to work under pressure.
• Good command of Spanish, Chinese and English is essential, both written and verbal.
• Able to travel on a regular basis to customers in Iberia Region, and occasional travel to BYD offices in EU, BYD Hungary factory and China.

Responsibilities

• Act as communication point of contact for the customers assigned in the region.
• Develop a trusted, collaborative partnership with customers, body builders and PDI workshops.
• Transfer in efficient way all the requests from customers to BYD organization.
• Be responsible for planning Factory Acceptance Test involving all relevant stakeholders.
• Plan delivery key activities involving all the relevant stakeholders internal and external (customer, PDI workshop, on-board system suppliers, etc.).
• Be able to understand technical problems and solutions to be implemented to smooth communication between BYD and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all project documentation is accurate and properly uploaded into BYD system
• Project status reporting: open points tracking and risk analysis during the entire product development phase
• Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines and in a high pace environment.
• High level of proactivity is mandatory; be able to anticipate the project risks and activities.
• Work independently organizing visits on site to strengthen customer relationships, pre-inspection in production sites and to supervise PDIs activities in the region.
