Job summary

Centre d’Estudis Demogràfics (CED) seeks a Quantitative Research Assistant/Technician for the SINGLE project in Barcelona. The role focuses on implementing statistical analyses, dataset integration, and reproducible research outputs within a hybrid work setting.

The candidate will work on cross-national and longitudinal data, applying established analytic plans and ensuring rigorous documentation and data quality. A Master’s degree in a related field and strong English skills are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in demography, sociology, statistics, data science, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in quantitative research, preferably with Stata.
• Ability to learn datasets, methods, and procedures quickly.
• Experience working with large-scale or complex datasets (cross-national, longitudinal, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal English communication; attention to reproducibility and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Translate research questions into high-quality statistical analyses using cross-national survey data.
• Integrate and harmonize datasets within the project data infrastructure.
• Produce reproducible tables, figures, code, and documentation for publication.
