Job summary

Centre for Demographic Studies (CED) in Spain seeks a Quantitative Research Assistant/Technician to contribute to the ERC-funded SINGLE project. The role focuses on translating research questions into high-quality statistical analyses using European demographic and survey data.

The successful candidate will perform data harmonization, run established analyses, and produce reproducible tables, figures, and code. The position is full-time, 6-month contract, with hybrid work options in Barcelona.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in demography, sociology, statistics, data science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience conducting quantitative research, preferably with Stata.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong attention to detail, reproducibility, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Translate research questions into high-quality statistical analyses using European survey data.
• Assist in data harmonization and developing the project data infrastructure.
• Produce reproducible, publication-standard tables, figures, code, and documentation.
