SIX Group Services Ltd. in Madrid is seeking an experienced platform engineer to join our international team. You will help application teams expose APIs and connect to AI services securely through a Kong platform.

This is a hands-on role operating Kong in production, reducing toil through automation and building self-service paths for API onboarding. The ideal candidate has production experience with API gateways, Kubernetes/OpenShift and Azure, plus automation skills with GitOps, CI/CD and

Hands-on API gateway operation in production environments.
Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift, Azure, AKS or Entra ID.
Automation skills with GitOps, CI/CD and IaC tools.

Responsabilidades

Operate and improve Kong API Gateway on OpenSnd Microsoft Azure, handling incidents, changes, upgrades, security, capacity and lifecycle management.
Design and build automation and self-service capabilities for API onboarding and policy delivery.
Develop platform services and tooling using APIs, GitOps, CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
Establish observability across metrics, logs and traces using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana and Elastic Stack; strengthen API security.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis and drive durable platform improvements.
Share on-call responsibility for the platform to reduce operational toil.
