BYD Europe is seeking an HR Generalist to lead day-to-day HR operations in Spain and Iberia, focusing on compliance, talent acquisition and HR administration to support business growth while aligning with local labour law and BYD policies.

Responsibilities include end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, payroll data preparation, HR reporting and servicing employees and managers on policies, contracts and benefits. Fluency in Spanish and English is required; Chinese is helpful for HQ coordination.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in HR, law, business or related field.
• 1–3 years in HR Generalist/HR Admin or Talent Acquisition role.
• Solid knowledge of Spanish labour law, HR compliance and admin procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor changes in labour legislation and adapt contracts, policies and HR templates.
• Support audits, maintain HR documentation and improve procedures.
• Handle hiring, terminations, disciplinary processes following legal requirements and BYD standards.
• Manage onboarding/offboarding, contracts, right-to-work checks, payroll data and HR reporting.
• Be first point of contact for employees and managers on HR policies, benefits and relations.

Your Mission

The HR Generalist is responsible for day-to-day HR operations in Spain and Iberia, with a focus on compliance, talent acquisition and HR administration, supporting business growth while ensuring alignment with local labour legislation and BYD global policies.

What You'll Be Doing

HR & Compliance Responsibilities

• Ensure HR processes comply with Spanish labour law, internal policies and GDPR, maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records.
• Monitor changes in labour legislation and support the adaptation of contracts, policies and HR templates.
• Support internal and external audits, maintain HR documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of HR procedures.
• Ensure all HR actions (hiring, terminations, disciplinary processes) follow legal requirements and BYD standards.

Talent Acquisition Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to define headcount needs, role profiles and selection criteria for Iberia positions.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, sourcing, interviews, feedback and offer coordination.
• Manage recruitment channels and maintain a strong talent pipeline, ensuring a positive candidate experience.

HR Administration & Employee Support

• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including contracts, right-to-work checks, systems access and exit formalities.
• Prepare HR data for payroll, monitor attendance and leave, and coordinate with external providers and internal stakeholders.
• Act as first point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, contracts, benefits and basic employee relations matters.
• Maintain HR systems, personnel files and HR reporting (headcount, turnover, absenteeism) for local and regional HQ.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in an HR Generalist / HR Admin / Talent Acquisition role, ideally in an international or fast-growing company in Spain.
• Solid knowledge of Spanish labour law, HR compliance and HR administrative procedures.
• Experience in recruitment and onboarding; familiarity with HRIS and MS Office tools.
• Fluency in Spanish and good command of English; Chinese is a must for coordination with HQ.
