BYD Europe is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee Spain and Portugal financial operations. You will manage GL, AP, AR, treasury and payroll coordination while ensuring compliance with Spanish GAAP and IFRS where applicable.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in finance in Spain, a Bachelor’s degree, and professional certification, with English and Spanish fluency and ERP experience (SAP/Oracle). This role involves budgeting, audits, and process improvements.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Master’s or MBA preferred.
• Professional certification mandatory (ROAC/ ECA/ ACCA/ CPA/ CIMA).
• 5+ years of finance/accounting experience in Spain, with management responsibilities.
• Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Experience in the automotive sector is mandatory.

Responsabilidades

• Lead local accounting and financial operations (GL, AP, AR, treasury, payroll coordination).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per Spanish GAAP (PGC) and IFRS where applicable.
• Lead yearly audit process.
• Define the account structure and mapping between local and group chart of accounts.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for Spain and Portugal.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, CIT, SII, and withholding taxes.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to local management.
• Support pricing analysis, margin optimization, and contract reviews.
• Weekly tracking of AR, Inventory, and Invoices.
• Lead and develop local finance staff or coordinate outsourced providers.
• Continuously improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.

Your Mission

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee our financial operations in Spain and Portugal. This role will be responsible for managing all local finance activities, ensuring compliance with Spanish accounting standards (PGC), tax regulations, and corporate policies. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and proven experience in financial management within the Spanish market.

What You’ll Be Doing

Financial Management & Reporting

Lead all local accounting and financial operations, including GL, AP, AR, treasury, and payroll coordination.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Spanish GAAP (PGC) and IFRS where applicable.

Take lead for yearly audit process.

Define the account structure(account code, cost center) take lead to do the account code mapping between local and group chart of account.

Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for Spain and Portugal.

Compliance & Taxation

• Ensure compliance with Spanish tax legislation, including VAT, CIT, SII, and withholding taxes.
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of statutory filings and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure adherence to corporate finance policies.

Business Partnering

• Act as a strategic business partner to local management, providing financial insights and recommendations for decision-making.
• Assist financial controller to providing financial insights and recommendations for decision-making.
• Support commercial teams with pricing analysis, margin optimization, and contract reviews.
• Work with cross-functional teams to analyze business performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Weekly tracking of AR/Inventory/Invoices.

People & Process Management

• Assist to lead and develop local finance staff or coordinate outsourced accounting providers.
• Continuously improve financial processes, systems, and reporting efficiency.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
• Professional certification (e.g., ROAC , ECA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is a mandatory requirement.
• 5+ years of finance or accounting experience in Spain, including management-level responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish GAAP (PGC), local tax regulations, and statutory reporting.
• Experience working in multinational environments and with ERP systems (SAP, Oracleetc.).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English and Spanish (both written and spoken) is required.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Working experience in Auto industry is mandatory.
