Job summary

ZimVie is seeking an HR Generalist to oversee all HR activities for the Italian team (ca. 50 employees) from hire to retire.

You will recruit in Italy, onboard, manage training and development, payroll coordination with external providers, and support local and global HR programs in a collaborative, international setting. The role offers a one-year temporary contract, a hybrid work model (2 days remote per week), competitive compensation, and wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

• BA or master’s degree in HR or similar (e.g., Business, Law, Psychology) or long-term professional experience in HR.
• Min. 3 – 5 years of professional experience in the general HR function of an international company.
• Previous experience supporting HR processes and working with teams in Italy.
• Solid knowledge of Italian labor law and payroll rules.
• Fluent language skills in Italian and English are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Cover all areas of HR for the ZimVie teams in Italy with around 50 employees from hire to retire.
• Recruit new team members in Italy according to the country's needs and budget plan to always ensure fully staffed teams and develop the local recruitment strategy.
• Onboard new team members and ensure good integration.
• Take care of the annual training and development plan in cooperation with the local leadership team.
• Support all HR-related global programs, like the annual Performance and Merit review process.
• Cooperate with the external payroll provider and ensure correct and timely monthly payroll.
• Execute disciplinary measures in cooperation with the managers and external lawyers.
• Support Health & Safety measures for the entity.
• Responsible for all necessary documentation to maintain up-to-date and accurate team member files (contracts, etc.).
• Participate in local and global HR projects.

About the role:

The HR generalist performs all HR-related duties of the team member life cycle for our Italian team members in close cooperation with the local Management team and the Global HR team. He/she supports the development of the Italian team to make ZimVie in Italy an attractive place to work.

What you’ll need:

• BA or master’s degree in HR or similar (e.g., Business, Law, Psychology) or long-term professional experience in HR
• Min. 3 – 5 years of professional experience in the general HR function of an international company
• Previous experience supporting HR processes and working with teams in Italy
• Good self-organization, sense of confidentiality, and professional communication skills
• Solid knowledge of Italian labor law and payroll rules
• IT knowledge in MS Office and HR-related IT programs (ideally SuccessFactors)
• Fluent language skills in Italian and English are mandatory
