Job summary

Prominent Edge is seeking an Information Help Desk/Windows Support specialist in Gaithersburg, MD to assist customers with in-person and remote support. The role requires installing Windows endpoints, printers, and software, plus basic networking and security patching.

You will create simple documentation, follow SOPs, and resolve multifaceted incidents for a large user base. U.S. citizenship is required and the company offers a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 60 credit hours completed in CS or IS management or one year of experience in Tier II Desktop Support (250+ users).
• ITIL Foundations v3 or v4 certification (within 40 business days).
• Dell Hardware certification (within 20 business days).
• CompTIA A+ certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person and remote user support.
• Document steps and customer requests for others to read.
• Map issues to potential solutions using knowledge bases.
• Install Windows endpoints and related software; perform upgrades.
• Install and repair printers, UPS units, and Windows-based DMS software.
