BettingJobs is seeking a Head of Performance Media + Strategic Acquisition to lead profitable player acquisition across online gaming brands. The role requires deep networks with parasite SEO publishers, media buying agencies and high-performing traffic sources, plus hands-on budgeting and strategic deal-making.

You will drive partnerships, optimize ROAS, and scale successful campaigns across markets from a remote or Johannesburg-based HQ.

BettingJobs is working with a well established iGaming group seeking to expand their team with a Head of Performance Media + Strategic Acquisition.

Location is remote from Europe or based in Johannesburg HQ.

We are looking for a highly connected, commercially driven acquisition specialist who can immediately leverage established relationships with parasite SEO publishers, PPC partners, media buying agencies and high-performing traffic networks to drive profitable player acquisition across our online gaming brands.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic partnerships: Activate and manage existing relationships with parasite SEO operators, established publishers, media-buying agencies, PPC specialists and other high performing acquisition partners.
• Website placement and visibility: Secure commercially attractive placements, sponsored content and relevant website partnerships across established publishing networks.
• PPC and paid media: Oversee paid search, display, native advertising and other relevant acquisition channels, working with specialist agencies and direct media partners.
• Budget ownership: Take responsibility for acquisition budgets, negotiate competitive commercial terms and allocate spend toward the most profitable opportunities.
• ROI and performance: Measure and optimise acquisition costs, first-time depositors, player value, retention, payback periods and return on marketing investment.
• Commercial execution: Identify opportunities, negotiate agreements, launch campaigns rapidly and scale successful partnerships across multiple brands and markets.

The person we're looking for Non-negotiable:

• You must already have established, active relationships in the online gaming acquisition ecosystem. We are not looking for someone who needs six months to build a network.
• You should know which partners deliver, have a proven record of securing valuable placements and be able to generate commercial opportunities from day one.
• The ideal candidate will have significant experience in iGaming, casino, sportsbook.
• You should have managed substantial acquisition budgets, understand the economics of player acquisition and be comfortable negotiating directly with publishers, agencies and media owners. We value proven commercial results and relationships considerably more than qualifications or corporate titles.
