Be Mate Apartments is seeking a Head of Operations to maximise profitability across our portfolio by controlling costs, analyzing P&L, negotiating suppliers, and driving operational efficiency. You will lead financial, procurement and profitability initiatives for multiple buildings and cities, standardise processes with SOPs, and champion best practices to improve margins and service quality for guests.

• Degree or studies in Tourism, Business Administration or a related field.
• Advanced level of English; Italian valued.
• Knowledge of hotel management or booking software.
• Basic knowledge of computer tools and office software.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to resolve client concerns.

We are a company specialising in tourist and corporate apartments, with a presence in Madrid, Barcelona, Málaga, Milan, Rome, Venice and Turin.

We are looking for a Head of Operations to maximise the profitability of our buildings and operations through cost control, P&L analysis, supplier negotiations, and the identification and implementation of operational efficiency initiatives.

Responsibilities

1. Financial control of operations

• Monthly monitoring of the P&L for each building.
• Analysis of deviations from budget.
• Control of cleaning, laundry, maintenance, utilities, amenities, energy and other operational costs.
• Identification of cost-saving opportunities and margin improvement initiatives, measuring costs per stay, apartment or check-in.
• Definition and monitoring of operational and financial KPIs using dashboards.

2. Procurement and supplier management

• Negotiation of supplier rates and contracts.
• Standardisation of suppliers across buildings.
• Review of contracts and service levels (SLAs).
• Identification of more competitive alternatives.

3. Profitability analysis

• Profitability analysis by building, city and business unit.
• ROI studies for new investments.
• Financial evaluation of operational projects.

4. Operational excellence

• Identification of inefficiencies.
• Leadership of continuous improvement projects.
• Standardisation of processes and documentation in SOPs.
• Implementation of best practices.

Requirements

• Degree or studies in Tourism, Business Administration or a related field.
• Advanced level of English; other languages, especially Italian, will be highly valued.
• Knowledge of hotel management or booking software.
• Basic knowledge of computer tools and office software.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and resolve their concerns.
