GMV Madrid is seeking a GNC Navigation Engineer to join the space navigation team. You will work across the project lifecycle from requirements to delivery, focusing on on-board GNSS, PNT, and orbit determination for space missions.

You will collaborate with ESA and other institutional partners, coordinate technical activities, and help shape proposals, risk management, and project planning while developing leadership within the GNC domain.

Formación

• Experience in spacecraft navigation, GNSS/PNT, or orbit determination.
• Strong signal processing and state estimation skills.
• Comfortable leading technical activities and coordinating teams.

Responsabilidades

• Define and review system and software requirements.

We are expanding our teams in the space sector. Join the team responsible for the Flight Segment within the Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Division, working in the section specializing in onboard GNSS.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

Our team develops navigation and PNT solutions for space systems, combining systems engineering, navigation algorithms, and GNSS technologies to tackle some of the most demanding challenges of today’s space missions, while participating in projects for the ESA, the European Commission, and other institutions in the space sector. You will have the opportunity to be involved in all phases of the project lifecycle: from requirements definition and design to integration, verification, validation, and delivery of solutions.
Your main challenge will be to take technical and project management responsibility for activities related to on-board GNSS, PNT, orbit determination, precision navigation, and time synchronization for space systems.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing activities and projects within the on-board GNSS section.
• Defining, analyzing, and reviewing system and software requirements.
• Designing, integrating, verifying, and validating navigation and orbit determination functions.
• Coordinating internal teams, subcontractors, consortium partners, and customers.
• Preparing and reviewing technical documentation, plans, reports, and presentations.
• Participating in technical meetings, reviews, and workshops with ESA and other institutional customers.
• Contributing to the development of proposals, the planning of work packages, risk management, and project monitoring.
• Participating in the dissemination of results through conferences and technical publications.

This position will allow you to combine technical expertise with a project-oriented perspective, working on technologies that are driving the evolution of space navigation and future PNT architectures.

We are looking for professionals from diverse technical and scientific backgrounds with experience in one or more of the following areas: spacecraft navigation, GNSS/PNT, orbit determination, state estimation, or GNC.
