Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a seasoned vendor management professional to lead global clinical study delivery. You will oversee third-party vendors, ensuring quality, timelines and cost targets while managing risks and stakeholder expectations.

The role partners with Clinical Project Managers, sponsors and cross-functional teams to optimize study performance. You will guide vendor selection, governance and budgeting, leveraging AI-enabled insights to drive improvements and successful outcomes for patients

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare or related discipline.
• 3+ years of clinical research experience within CRO/biotech/pharma or healthcare.
• Experience managing third-party vendors, suppliers, affiliates or outsourced services.
• Understanding vendor selection, qualification, governance and performance management.
• Experience developing and executing Vendor Management Plans and ensuring delivery against contracts.
• Strong knowledge of clinical trial conduct, ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing vendor-related risks, issues and contingency planning.
• Knowledge of project financials, including budget management, forecasting and invoice review.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to collaborate across sponsors, vendors and global teams.
• Experience working across geographies and cultures; familiarity with AI-enabled solutions for decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Oversee third-party vendor management across global clinical studies; liaise with sponsors and cross-functional teams.
• Lead vendor selection, qualification and onboarding aligned with study requirements and IQVIA processes.
• Develop and maintain Vendor Management Plans to support study delivery.
• Monitor vendor performance against contract scope, timelines, quality standards, deliverables and budgets.
• Identify and manage vendor-related risks and contingencies; implement corrective actions.
• Lead vendor governance activities, including performance reviews and escalations.
• Own vendor management deliverables and ensure collaboration between sponsors, suppliers and project teams.
• Review and oversee vendor budgets, forecasts, POs and invoices for financial management.
• Partner with Clinical PMs and cross-functional teams to achieve study milestones.
• Support change control related to vendor scope, budgets and contracted services.
• Leverage IQVIA affiliate capabilities and internal services to optimize study delivery.
• Capture lessons learned and share best practices to improve vendor performance.
