Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center focused on offshore wind. The role is based in Barcelona, Spain, and involves monitoring turbines, guiding remote diagnostics, and supporting field teams to sustain performance across the asset lifecycle.

You will collaborate with engineering groups, analyze data for faults and trends, and drive continuous improvements while adhering to safety standards. Occasional travel and relocation to Barcelona may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on wind turbine experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot on site.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvements.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimization.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call weekends/public holidays.
