Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center in Barcelona, Spain. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets, from commissioning to service, ensuring turbine reliability throughout their lifecycle.

You will work closely with site teams and engineering experts to analyze and resolve technical issues, driving continuous improvement and robust operational performance across rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on turbine or similar electromechanical system experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication.
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and up to 20% travel.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms.
• Support commissioning and service via remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to solve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults and trends.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimization.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work rotating weekday shifts with occasional on-call.
