GE Vernova's Grid Automation R&D team seeks a Lead Power Systems Protection & Control Application Engineer to bridge power system theory and real-world algorithm implementation. The role focuses on protecting power systems, developing detailed design specifications, and driving cross-functional collaboration.

Ideal candidate will have a Master/PhD in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in protection and control, and strong MATLAB/Simulink experience.

Formación

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years experience in protection and control design and studies; 3+ years designing P&C algorithms.

Responsabilidades

• Create detailed design specifications for P&C algorithms.
• Conduct proof-of-concept studies using PSCAD/RTDS/MATLAB/Simulink.
• Lead root-cause analysis of protection algorithm incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for issues resolution.
• Publish technical papers and present at industry forums.
