Job summary

Thunes Ltd in Barcelona seeks a CDD Team Lead to manage and mentor the onboarding of institutional partners and customers worldwide, focusing on CDD, KYB and EDD. The role requires guiding a team of CDD officers and ensuring timely, compliant onboarding with rigorous risk assessments.

You will coordinate with Sales, Legal, Product and local MLROs across Thunes’ licensed entities, drive process improvements, support governance, and uphold regulatory standards in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in KYC/KYB/AML within FinTech, cross-border payments, or corporate banking.
• Experience leading onboarding teams and handling day-to-day caseloads.
• Strong knowledge of risk-based reviews, PEP/sanctions, and EDD procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the CDD officers, fostering learning and high analytical standards.
• Oversee workflow distribution and SLA management for onboarding reviews.
• Conduct QA checks and sign-offs for complex files and provide risk rationales.
• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Product and local MLROs to enable fast, compliant onboarding.
• Support audits and regulatory reviews related to partner onboarding.
