Job summary

Starr is seeking a proactive Operations/Administration professional for our Madrid hub to support bookings, data quality, and reporting across EU branches. You will ensure SLA adherence and coordinate with UW Ops, IT, and Local coordinators in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in insurance operations, strong Excel and collaboration tools, and fluency in English and German at B2-C1 levels. This full-time role is based in Madrid and offers growth within a global insurer.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years in insurance operations/admin
• High attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs
• English B2/C1 and German B2-C1; good Excel and collaboration tools
• Experience with policy admin or underwriting systems
• Prior shared-service or hub experience

Responsibilities

• Create and validate bookings in policy admin/finance systems.
• Perform data quality checks and obtain missing information.
• Triage submission inboxes and trackers to meet SLA.
• Run standard QA checks and escalate deviations with UW Ops/IT teams.
• Produce standard and ad-hoc reports with UW Ops Team Lead.
• Maintain knowledge of SPARC & Eclipse and related manuals.
• Ensure taxes are processed in the booking system as instructed.
• File and track EU branch documents for workload control.
• Communicate risk and policy queries through appropriate channels.
• Escalate production booking issues affecting month reporting.
• Maintain updated production report files tracking EU offices workload.
• Assist in underwriting process improvements and internal controls.
