MacGregor Black is partnering with a leading global performance sports brand to appoint a Head of Design. This senior role leads the design function, owning creative vision, seasonal direction and product strategy across performance categories.

You will collaborate with Product, Development, Technical and Commercial teams to deliver innovative products that balance performance, quality and a modern aesthetic.

Formación

• Significant design leadership experience within premium performance sports, outdoor, technical apparel or adjacent consumer categories.
• Proven track record of leading design teams and delivering innovative product collections for a global audience.
• Strong knowledge of technical product creation, including fabrics, materials, construction, fit and performance requirements.
• Experience balancing creative vision with commercial objectives and consumer needs.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence across Product, Development, Marketing and Commercial functions.

Responsabilidades

• Define and deliver the overall design strategy aligned with brand vision, product roadmap and growth plans.
• Lead end-to-end design process from concept to final product execution.
• Develop seasonal design direction, color strategies and product narratives to strengthen identity.
• Lead, inspire and mentor the design team to foster creativity and collaboration.
• Drive innovation across performance products through new materials, technologies and construction methods.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Technical and Commercial to ensure design intent reaches market.
• Translate consumer and athlete insights into compelling product opportunities.
• Ensure products balance performance, functionality, aesthetics and commercial viability.
• Build relationships with athletes, ambassadors and partners to influence future development.
• Establish and maintain design standards and best practices across the organisation.
• Present design strategy and opportunities to senior leadership.
