Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Data Privacy Manager to develop and oversee global privacy programs across the EMEA region, reporting to the Head of Data Privacy. You will advise on privacy, data protection, and regulatory compliance, including GDPR/UK GDPR, AI Act implications, and data breach handling.

The role encompasses risk management, governance, and collaboration with Legal, IT, Security, HR, and R&D to enable innovation while maintaining compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Law degree with 4+ years as legal counsel or advanced degree with 2+ years in data protection.
• Experience advising on GDPR/UK GDPR and cross-border data transfers.
• Fluent in English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Advise on privacy, data protection, and regulatory requirements across the EMEA region.
• Interpret GDPR/UK GDPR updates and ePrivacy requirements for the business.
• Provide legal guidance on AI, data governance, and product development.
• Draft and negotiate data processing and data transfer agreements.
• Support privacy risk assessments and incident investigations.
