Job summary

Medtronic Privacy Legal Counsel will join a global team to support privacy, data protection, and responsible data use across the EMEA region. You will provide legal advice to business stakeholders on complex data protection matters, enabling innovation while ensuring regulatory compliance within a healthcare technology environment.

This EMEA-based role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, guidance on AI, data governance, and privacy risk assessments, and occasional travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

• Law degree and 4+ years of experience as legal counsel.
• Experience supporting data protection, privacy, security, or related legal matters.
• Knowledge of GDPR and UK GDPR across EMEA.
• Professional fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Advise stakeholders on privacy and data protection across the EMEA region.
• Interpret GDPR/UK GDPR and ePrivacy requirements.
• Provide legal guidance on digital health, AI, data governance, and new products.
• Draft and negotiate privacy-related agreements.
• Support privacy risk assessments and cross-border data transfers.
• Develop privacy guidance and governance resources.
