Job summary

Exoticca in Barcelona is seeking a Product Manager to ensure flight product components are correctly set up and optimized, aligning with the Functional Product Department and Flight Business needs.

You will drive roadmap execution, research market trends, reduce costs, and coordinate testing, documentation, and releases in a fast-growing, multi-national team.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience with travel products and GDS (Amadeus) systems.
• Experience with low-cost airline aggregation and NDC.
• Strong data analysis and ability to create actionable insights.

What you will do?

• Business Alignment: Clearly understand the needs of the Functional Product Department and Flight Business, effectively communicating them to the Technical/IT Product Manager and development teams.
• Product Optimization: Ensure the flight product component of Exoticca packages is correctly set up and optimized to provide the best available flights at the lowest possible COGS.
• Roadmap & Execution: Guarantee that requirements are clearly understood by all stakeholders and that the Flight Business implementation roadmap aligns with these requirements.
• Market Research & Innovation: Research trends in market and distribution technology, translate them into practice, and support the creation and implementation of innovative ideas.
• Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and resolve technical risks.
• Testing & Acceptance: Coordinate product testing, defining the success criteria for testing and final product acceptance.
• Data Analysis: Utilize database queries to analyze and monitor product performance.
• Documentation & Release: Assist in creating and maintaining thoroug product documentation, coordinating with internal departments during product releases.
• Industry Experience: 3-5 years of experience working with a GDS (Amadeus, or a large global OTA with Amadeus and Travelfusion.
• Domain Knowledge: Experience with Low-Cost Airline Aggregation and NDC.
• Product Management: Understanding of web development and experience defining and managing a functional product lifecycle.
• Project Delivery: Ability to manage timelines, scope, and product scalability, alongside strong project management skills to handle daily shifting priorities and effective backlog prioritization.
• Technical Specifications: Experience writing functional technical product specifications and requirements for new products.
• Data & ROI Focus: Strong analytical skills to evaluate data, derive actionable insights, and determine real business value and ROI.
• Mindset: A strong problem-solving mindset with a passion for brainstorming and developing new product ideas.
• Communication: Excellent written and spoken English skills; proficiency in a second language is a plus.
