Shimano Iberia SL is seeking a Finance Manager to join our Madrid office. You will lead a team of four finance professionals, oversee accounting, reporting, controls, treasury, and process improvement, and act as a trusted business partner to the local Management Team.

You will ensure IFRS compliance, regional finance initiatives, and cross-functional projects, delivering high-quality financial insights to support strategic decisions and sustainable growth for Shimano Iberia.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, RA, ROAC, or equivalent) is preferred.
• 3-5 years of progressive finance experience; leadership experience.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

Responsabilidades

• Lead all financial operations including general ledger, close cycles, statutory reporting, tax compliance, AP/AR, and treasury.
• Maintain IFRS, local GAAP, and internal control standards.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and external relationships with auditors and banks.
• Coach and develop the finance team; drive process improvements and automation.
• Contribute to regional finance initiatives and cross-functional projects.

Introduction Shimano is looking for a Finance Manager to join our Shimano Iberia office. As Finance Team Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial health, compliance, and operational efficiency of Shimano Iberia. You will lead a team of four finance professionals and oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, reporting, controls, compliance, treasury management, and process improvement. Beyond managing day-to-day finance activities, you will act as a trusted business partner to the local Management Team, providing financial insights that support strategic decision-making and sustainable growth. You will ensure that financial processes are executed accurately and efficiently, maintaining adherence to local regulations, IFRS requirements, internal control standards, and Shimano policies. In addition, you will actively contribute to regional finance initiatives, European accounting forums, and cross-functional projects aimed at driving continuous improvement across the organization.

The Challenge

• Contribute to the strategic, tactical, and operational plans for the Finance function and support overall business objectives.
• Lead all financial operations, including general ledger accounting, month-end and year-end close, statutory reporting, tax compliance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury activities.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting in accordance with IFRS, local GAAP requirements, and Shimano internal policies.
• Maintain a strong internal control environment and proactively identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, collections, and payment processes to support business performance and liquidity objectives.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses, ensuring that management has clear visibility of financial performance and key business drivers.
• Manage external relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and local regulatory authorities.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Drive process optimization, digitalization, and automation initiatives to improve efficiency, controls, and scalability within the finance function.
• Contribute to regional and European finance projects and actively participate in European Accountants Meetings, sharing best practices and supporting alignment across Shimano entities.
• Ensure the team consistently delivers high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders while meeting all operational deadlines and compliance requirements.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, RA, ROAC, or equivalent) is considered an advantage.
• Minimum 3-5 years of progressive finance experience, including some years in a leadership position.
• Experience managing the finance operations of a medium-sized commercial or distribution business.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, statutory reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls.
• Experience working with ERP (SAP 4 HANA) systems and financial reporting tools.
• Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial information into actionable business recommendations.
• Proactive, hands-on, and results-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and influence decision-making.
• Experience working in an international or matrix organization is preferred.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
