IHG Hotels & Resorts in Barcelona seeks a finance operations intern to assist in daily reconciliations and revenue journaling. You will support verifying ledgers, updating cash contracts and reconciling credit card activity as part of the month-end close.

This role suits students in hospitality or finance seeking practical experience in a global hotel group. Candidates should be fluent in English or Spanish, proactive and team-oriented, with a passion for finance.

Formación

• Currently studying a bachelor’s degree in hospitality, finance or related field.
• Possibility to sign an agreement with your school for 6 months preferably.
• Previous hotel knowledge and experience in operational departments will be valuable.
• Must be fluent in English or Spanish.
• Proactive, positive, energetic, dynamic, emphatic, team-worker and with passion for financial area.

Responsabilidades

• Verify PMS daily city ledger, guest ledger and advance deposit ledger balances reconcile to prior month closing balance plus current month changes.
• Prepare daily revenue journal and ensure proper general ledger classification of revenues.
• Update cashier contracts list and prepare month-end cash account reconciliation.
• Verify credit cards billing against the daily business report and prepare credit card and bank conciliation sheets.

Your day-to-day

• Support in verifying that the PMS daily city ledger, guest ledger and advance deposit ledger balances reconcile to the sum of previous month closing balance and the PMS system net changes for the current month to date.

• Support in verifying that the PMS daily city ledger, guest ledger and advance deposit ledger balances reconcile to the sum of previous month closing balance and the PMS system net changes for the current month to date.
• Support preparing daily revenue journal, ensuring that revenues have been classified to the correct general ledger code.
• To update cashier contracts list and prepare reconciliation at month end for cash accounts.
• Verify all credit cards billing against the daily business report and prepare credit card and bank conciliation sheets.
