Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group (Kimpton) in Barcelona offers a Front Office internship to support reservations, guest guidance and embody the Kimpton ambassador role. You will be supervised by the Front Office Team and gain hands-on experience in hospitality operations.

The program requires currently studying a bachelor’s degree in hospitality, with a preference for a 4‑month agreement, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Currently studying a bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related field.
• Possibility to sign an agreement with your school for 4 months preferably.
• Previous hotel knowledge and experience in operational departments will be valuable.

• Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner recognizing IHG Rewards Club Members and returning guests.
• Check guests in, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location.
• Ensure required identification is taken from guests at check-in in line with local legislative requirements.
• Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service.
• Perform other duties as assigned including guest room tours, concierge services, special guest requests, etc.

What’s the internship?
