SGS is seeking a Finance Data & BI Developer to join the Finance Data Delivery Team in Madrid. You will design, implement and maintain data solutions using Snowflake, DBT, Azure Data Factory and Power BI to support financial analytics.

You will own end-to-end data pipelines, data marts and BI reporting, collaborate across SGS units and apply Agile practices while delivering robust data services for decision makers.

Formación

The Finance Data & BI Developer will be a key member of the Finance Data Delivery Team and will be responsible developing and maintaining data solutions (back and front end) using Snowflake, DBT, Azure Data Factory and Power BI oriented to data management and analytics within the Finance area; with a strong technical knowledge and capable of taking ownership of the design, implementation and testing activities assigned to you while collaborating effectively with other SGS organization colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Implement data and BI solutions (pipelines, data marts, reporting and visualization) aligned with SGS data governance, standards, and best practices;
• Apply Agile methodologies;
• Develop and maintenance (evolutive, corrective and adaptative) of data and business intelligence projects as data warehouses or data marts;
• Apply CI/CD approach to streamline the development workflow;
• Ownership of the activities you will be involved;
• Stay up to date with latest data trends by attending events and taking relevant training;
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the SGS Data & BI Framework;

Qualifications

• Hold a Degree, Masters or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience of designing, building, delivering and maintaining data solutions.
• Experience working with ERP, EPM and financial data sources
• Focused on delivering an excellent user experience.
• Able to travel based on project requirements.
• Good communications skills, able to clearly communicate with senior stakeholders.

Skills

• +4 years of professional experience developing and supporting complex cloud business intelligence solutions;
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them to Business Intelligence, Datawarehouse or Datamarts.
• Extensive experience in data modeling with a special focus on dimensional modeling and OLAP engines;
• Good functional understanding of financial data, processes and rules.
• Deep knowledge of Snowflake, DBT, Azure Data Factory and Power BI; Proficient in SQL language
• Extensive experience working with Power BI, including DAX language;
• CI/CD through Azure DevOps/ GitHub and Visual Studio;
• Ability to write clear and well-structured technical documentation using DevOps central document repository. Jira or other similar tools will be a plus;
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with people at all levels in an organization;
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English (must) and Spanish.
