SGS is seeking a Data Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable, end-to-end data architectures across the organization. You will define data standards, governance, and enterprise models while translating business needs into robust, cloud-based solutions in Azure and Snowflake.

As part of the Global Data Team, you will architect and implement data solutions (batch and real-time), collaborate with global stakeholders, and drive adoption of modern data platforms.

Formación

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience delivering solution and reference architectures.
• Strong track record in end-to-end data solution delivery.
• User-focused mindset.
• Ability to travel if needed.
• Strong communication with senior stakeholders.
• Fluent in English.

Responsabilidades

• Define and implement data architecture, governance, standards and best practices.
• Assess and estimate data solutions for business needs.
• Lead solution design in data projects as Data Architect.
• Contribute hands-on when required.
• Ensure alignment with global architecture frameworks across teams.
• Act as main point of contact for cloud partners and internal stakeholders.
• Develop PoCs to validate emerging technologies.
• Stay current with data trends and continuous learning.

Job Description

We are looking for a Data Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable, end‑to‑end data architectures across SGS. You will define data standards, governance, and enterprise models while translating business needs into robust, cloud-based solutions.

As part of the Global Data Team, you will architect and implement data solutions (batch and real‑time), collaborate with global stakeholders, and drive the adoption of modern data platforms (Azure, Snowflake, DBT, Power BI). This role combines strategic architecture ownership with hands‑on delivery and innovation through PoCs and emerging technologies.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define and implement data architecture, governance, standards and best practices
• Assess and estimate data solutions for business needs
• Lead solution design in data projects as Data Architect
• Contribute hands‑on when required
• Ensure alignment with global architecture frameworks across teams
• Act as main point of contact for cloud partners and internal stakeholders
• Develop PoCs to validate emerging technologies
• Stay current with data trends and continuous learning

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Proven experience delivering solution and reference architectures
• Strong track record in end-to-end data solution delivery
• User-focused mindset
• Ability to travel if needed
• Strong communication with senior stakeholders
• Fluent in English

REQUIRED SKILLS

• 6+ years in Azure-based cloud/hybrid data & ML solutions
• Strong data modelling expertise (dimensional)
• Experience with Snowflake, DBT, ADF, Power BI
• Microsoft Fabric is a plus
• SQL, Python (C# a plus)
• CI/CD with Azure DevOps / GitHub
• Proven leadership and team coordination skills
• Ability to manage internal/external delivery teams
• Strong documentation and communication skills
