Job summary

TOMRA Food is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission, operate and maintain our advanced sorting systems across Spain and Portugal, with a primary base in or around Madrid. The role combines hands-on engineering with proactive customer service and ongoing optimization of equipment in food processing environments.

You will diagnose issues, train customers, perform maintenance, and travel up to 80% (primarily within Spain) with some international trips.

Qualifications

Technical education in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Industrial Maintenance or related field.
3–5 years field service, industrial maintenance or technical customer support.
Knowledge of analog/digital circuits, power supplies and PLCs.

Responsibilities

Perform field service activities: installation, commissioning, operation, testing, optimization, maintenance and repair of TOMRA equipment.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal machine performance and customer satisfaction.
Carry out mechanical, electrical, electronic and optical adjustments and configurations.
Provide customer training on operation and maintenance of TOMRA systems.
Deliver technical support and guidance to maximize operational performance and reduce food waste.
Prepare accurate service reports and collaborate with internal teams for excellent support.
Travel as required; represent TOMRA as an ambassador of innovation.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of TOMRA technology and contribute to continuous improvement.
