Job summary

TOMRA Food invites you to join our team as a Field Service Engineer, based in Valencia or surrounding areas. You will install, commission, operate, test, optimize, and maintain our advanced sorting systems across Spain and Portugal, delivering exceptional customer service.

With 3–5 years in field service and a strong aptitude for troubleshooting, you will read schematics, adjust PLCs, train users, and travel up to 80%. Fluency in Spanish and English (minimum B2) is required.

Qualifications

• Technical education in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
• 3–5 years in field service, industrial maintenance or technical customer support.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuits, power supplies and PLCs.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• IT networking and PC configuration understanding.
• Fluent Spanish and English (minimum B2 level).
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service activities: installation, commissioning, operation, testing and repair.
• Diagnose and resolve issues to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Carry out mechanical, electrical, electronic and optical adjustments.
• Provide customer training on operation and maintenance.
• Deliver technical support to maximize performance and minimize waste.
• Prepare service reports and collaborate with internal teams.
• Travel up to 80% within Spain and occasionally abroad.
