Job summary

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking, Madrid office, seeks an Associate for Global Export and Agency Finance. You will help originate and structure ECA-backed transactions, coordinating with ECAs and bankers worldwide while supporting business development efforts.

The role offers exposure to full deal execution, with possible progression toward origination or structuring as business needs evolve. English is mandatory, with a strong analytical mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of experience in advisory and/or lending roles within Structured Finance, Project Finance and/or Export Finance.
Solid understanding of Export Finance and/or non-recourse financing structures and related legal frameworks.
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Engineering.
English mandatory; Spanish, French and German a plus.

Responsibilities

Support senior team members in the origination and execution of ECA-backed financing transactions, globally.
Contribute to business development activities, including client pitches and coordination with bankers and ECAs.
Drive internal coordination across Risk, Legal, Compliance, E&S, Syndication, Middle Office, Project Finance, etc.
Prepare high-quality marketing, credit and internal materials with strong analytical content.
Coordinate transaction execution through internal approval stages (risk, legal sign-off).
Participate in structuring and documentation with focus on core finance documents and ECA policies.
Develop value-added financing solutions and mentor junior team members.
