Job summary

Fuse Energy is seeking a senior Development Lead to drive end-to-end data centre development across Europe, with emphasis on market evaluation for Spain or Ireland. You will coordinate planning, permitting, and financing, engaging with regulators, investors, and lenders to deliver scalable projects.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in European data centre development, strong technical and financing knowledge, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Experience developing data centres or large-scale infrastructure in Europe from early-stage development through design, permitting, and delivery readiness.
• Deep knowledge of European data centre geographies, grid capacity, power markets and permitting dynamics.
• Strong understanding of European planning and grid connection processes, including TSOs/DSOs and regulators.
• Technical understanding of data centre infrastructure (power, cooling, utilities) and ability to evaluate engineering decisions.
• Understanding of project finance structures and investor requirements for infrastructure.
• Highly analytical, self-directed with strong ownership.
• Willingness to travel across Europe; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own data centre development in Europe end-to-end from market entry strategy through energisation.
• Evaluate and prioritise Spain or Ireland markets based on power availability, grid timelines, land, fibre, climate, permitting regimes, and incentives.
• Identify and assess sites from technical, planning, power, and infrastructure perspectives.
• Structure and support development financing with investors and lenders to fund delivery.
• Lead planning, permitting, environmental assessment, and stakeholder engagement in each jurisdiction.
• Mitigate technical, commercial, and development risks.
• Ensure projects are deliverable, scalable, and aligned with construction requirements.
