Empresa Confidencial is seeking a Data Center Specialist to join its international energy and infrastructure team in Madrid. The role focuses on market analysis, opportunity evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration to grow a new data center business.

You will work with internal teams and external partners to assess opportunities, perform financial and strategic analyses, and prepare investment materials.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Energy, Finance, Infrastructure or related field.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in data centers, energy, infrastructure, real estate, utilities, IPPs or related sector.
• Previous exposure to data centers or digital infrastructure is highly valued.
• Strong analytical and business development skills, with ability to assess opportunities from commercial and strategic perspectives.
• Experience conducting market research, business analysis and/or project evaluation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working in an international environment and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilidades

• Support identification and assessment of new business opportunities, partnerships and projects.
• Conduct preliminary analysis of opportunities, including location, demand and commercial considerations.
• Support development of data center opportunities from origination through maturity with internal and external teams.
• Track competitors, investors and other stakeholders to maintain market intelligence.
• Assist relationships with partners, customers and utilities.
• Collaborate with Development, Energy, Engineering, Finance and Legal teams to progress opportunities.
• Prepare business cases, financial analyses and investment materials for new opportunities.
• Contribute to due diligence processes for potential projects and investments.
• Support geographical expansion analysis across Europe and beyond.
• Prepare market updates and pipelines for senior management.

We are looking for a Data Center Specialist to join the team of an international company operating in the energy and infrastructure sector, supporting the development of its data center business.

The successful candidate will contribute to identifying, evaluating and developing opportunities in the data center market, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with experience in data centers, infrastructure, energy or related sectors who is interested in contributing to the growth of a new and strategic business area.

Key Responsibilities

• Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze the data center market, identifying relevant trends, opportunities, players, technologies and potential areas for growth.
• Business Development: Support the identification and assessment of new business opportunities, partnerships, projects and potential investments in the data center sector.
• Opportunity Assessment: Conduct preliminary analysis of potential opportunities, including market attractiveness, location, demand, infrastructure requirements and commercial considerations.
• Project Development Support: Support the development of data center opportunities from early-stage origination through to project maturity, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Market & Competitor Intelligence: Track competitors, investors, developers, operators and other relevant stakeholders to maintain a strong understanding of the market.
• Partnerships & Stakeholder Management: Support relationships with potential partners, customers, investors, developers, utilities, infrastructure providers and other relevant stakeholders.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Development, Energy, Engineering, Finance, Legal and other relevant functions to assess and progress opportunities.
• Business Cases & Analysis: Support the preparation of business cases, financial analysis, presentations and investment materials for new opportunities.
• Due Diligence: Contribute to commercial and technical due diligence processes for potential projects, partnerships and investment opportunities.
• Geographical Expansion: Support the analysis of opportunities across different markets, with a particular focus on Europe and potentially other international markets.
• Reporting: Prepare market updates, opportunity pipelines and regular reports for senior management.

Qualifications
