Job summary

Orbio AI in Barcelona is seeking an AI Governance Engineer to design and maintain governance frameworks that ensure safe, compliant deployment of AI agents across global enterprises.

In this full-time hybrid role, you will split time between onsite collaboration and remote work, coordinating with engineering, product, and compliance teams to translate guidelines into technical controls. You will document practices and support stakeholders as the platform evolves.

Qualifications

• Strong CS foundation with hands-on software development experience.
• Applied experience with Neural Networks and NLP architectures.
• Ability to recognize model/system anomalies, biases, or policy violations.
• Experience designing governance, risk, or compliance frameworks for AI/software.
• Proficiency in Python or Java and familiarity with cloud/MLOps practices.
• Strong documentation and ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define governance policies and guardrails for AI systems.
• Develop tools for monitoring and auditing model behavior.
• Analyze agent decision-making to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Translate regulatory and ethical guidelines into technical controls.
• Document best practices and support internal stakeholders and clients in applying governance standards.
